For our family April always starts with a laugh. We have three little ones who long to be funny, and when they are not trying to be, they keep us in stitches. That withstanding, they have not quite mastered the art of the “joke”. We now live in a land of knock-knock jokes that make no sense whatsoever and are only funny due to the eager face of the one delivering it. So on April 1st they go for it 100%…. “Mommy, I can’t find my shoes, April Fools!” and “ Hey it looks like there are spiderwebs all over the room, April Fools! or “ Look your hair just turned green, April Fools!”
They understand the main concept but they still haven’t grasped the minute details of the execution. They are getting better at it, and maybe by next year we had better all watch out!
I feel that's kind of where we are in life right now. We see some of the broader strokes of what God is calling us to but the details of what that is suppose to look like each day are still a little fuzzy. And with so many details to attend to, how do we fit them all in?
So our big prayer for this month is simply this: That God would give us wisdom in decision making, open hands in planning, selfless hearts for each others needs, and grace for our shortcomings.
We would love to hear from you! Write us back so can better pray for you too,
John and Kristi
Needless to say, the story about Jesus washing His disciples' feet means a lot more to us here..
