Thank you so much for your prayers this past month. God has done some amazing things, beyond what we could have ever know what to pray for! We have so much we want to share with you so we'll just jump right in.
The 3 month long Pacific Orientation Course we are required to attend when we first arrive in PNG in May has moved locations. For the first time ever, it will not be hosted on the coast in Madang, but in the highlands in Ukarumpa (the same place that we are serving long-term). We are more than excited about this news for so many reasons. No shark swimming (lol), and no malaria meds needed now. The most exciting thing for us though, is that our village stay will now potentially be with a local village that's so much closer to our home, and there should be more opportunities for long term relationships with them!
We are now only $137 a month away (!!!!!) from meeting our Wycliffe monthly budget! God has opened the floodgates, and has been blessing us left and right in the most surprising ways! It really has been such a humbling thing to witness.
We still need to be at 100% of our Wycliffe budget ASAP, but because we are so close and time is of the essence, our supervisors have released us to buy our plane tickets and submit our visas! God has blessed us with amazing tickets that have a wonderful flight schedule and were half the cost we had budgeted for them. Our visas are sitting and ready to send off as soon as our work permits are approved in PNG.
PLEASE PRAY that our work permits are approved without any fuss or delay! This is the big prayer for this month :)
John's back is doing much better! please pray that God will continue to keep us healthy and well as we are working so hard at preparing to leave.
Please pray for safe travel. Even before we make the big trip, we still have lots of good visits planned in the coming months to say goodbye to folks for the next few years.
Please pray that we are intentional and present with all of you, whom we love so much! Pray for great opportunities to love each other well!
We love you!
Thank You!
John and Kristi
